Orlando Kodokan Judo was established by Sensei Mike Ogata to share the art of Judo in Orlando.
The Orlando Kodokan Judo club, is a proud member of USA Judo, the national governing body for Judo in the United States and a member of the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee.
We have a diverse group of students, instructors, and other volunteers. Ogata Sensei has been practicing Judo for many decades and is a certified instructor and coach with a rank of Rokudan (6th degree).
Ogata Sensei directs the Orlando Kodokan Judo club and its Orlando Adaptive Judo program. He leads other instructors and volunteers to ensure that each student learns Judo, which literally translates to “the gentle way.”
